Theos advisor's book is Archbishop's Lent choice

Congratulations to Lucy Winkett, a founding adviser for Theos! Lucy's new book, Our Sound is Our Wound: Contemplative Listening to a Noisy World, has been named the Archbishop of Canterbury's Lent Book 2010.

Our Sound is Our Wound explores how we listen for the voice of God within the soundscapes of our lives and how we find our own voice. Sensitive to the cadences of modern life, Lucy reflects on this through the prism of Scripture and tradition.

Lucy Winkett is Canon Precentor of St Paul's Cathedral, with particular responsibility for music and liturgy. Before ordination, she trained as a soprano, and lived in a L'Arche community. She combines her cathedral ministry with chairing the governors of a new Church of England Academy in North London, leading retreats, and speaking and writing on culture, gender and religion. She is a contributor to BBC Radio 4's Thought for the Day.

In 2007, the then Cardinal Archbishop of Westminster, Cormac Murphy-O'Connor, recommended Theos publication Doing God for Lent.
