“Affilitation has fallen of a cliff and attendance has declined at a much lower rate, but what is encouraging is the level of Christian social action - churches and christian communities rolling up their sleeves and getting involved in their communities providing vital services to those in need. This has grown and continues to increase. The church of the future is likely to be smaller but more activist. There are certainly fewer people who call themselves Christian today, but the bottom of line is that if you do call yourself a Christian, it's verly likely that you do something about it."
