“Research shows parents are enormously important and succesful in passing on their faith provided they 'walk the talk'. The important point is not that some parents have faith and some don't. Our poll deliberate looked at people of different beliefs. So, in essence, whoever we are, whatever our beliefs, we invariably, almost osmotically pass them on to our kids. The question is do you force it down their throat or do you encourage them to think for themselves. Importantly, passing on your faith does not stop your children from thinking about the beliefs, values and practices you are handing down. And most parents with a strong faith will want to pass on their faith to their kids but will want them to think about it as well.
