Appointed by President Obama in 2008 to the Office of Faith–based and Neighbourhood Partnerships and later directing faith outreach for the president’s 2012 re–election campaign, Michael Wear knows about the nexus of faith and politics like no–one else.

Timed to coincide with the publication of his book Reclaiming Hope – described as “an unvarnished account of faith inside the world’s most powerful office” – Michael spoke at Theos on 27th February, offering a unique perspective on what impact faith did and didn’t have during the Obama years, and where American religion is going now.
