Magna Carta at 801: Christian Perspectives on the EU Debate

Magna Carta at 801: Christian Perspectives on the EU Debate

On the very day 801 years ago that Magna Carta was sealed by King John, Canon Dr Gary Wilton and Ben Ryan will explore how Christians might think about the European Union and exercise their democratic vote in the European Referendum.

Canon Dr Gary Wilton was until 2013 the Archbishop of Canterbury’s Representative to the EU and co-editor of ‘God and the EU’, and Ben Ryan is a Researcher at Theos and author of various Theos reports including A Soul for the union.

The discussion will be chaired by Canon Guy Wilkinson, previously the Archbishop of Canterbury’s Inter Religious Affairs Adviser.

All are welcome to the event, which is being held at Salisbury Cathedral.
