New patterns of growth

Nick Spencer, Director of Studies at Theos, was one of the keynote speakers at the Jubilee Centre's third annual Winter School (2-4 January) in Cambridge.

The event tackled the closely-linked issues of environmental and social sustainability and was based on the book Christianity, Climate Change and Sustainable Living, co-authored by Nick Spencer and by Bob White, Professor of Geophysics at Cambridge University.

Speaking on 'The drivers of global warming and social breakdown' and on 'Church, community and household responses', Nick Spencer also chaired a final session exploring how Christians should engage positively and persuasively in this area.

Other speakers included Sir John Houghton, Sir Brian Heap, Bob White, and Michael Schluter.
